The Salomon technical women's shoes, intended primarily for active mountain hiking, will also prove to be a good solution on a daily basis. They have a strong upper made of natural leather with protective panels for the nose and heel. The use of the Gore-Tex® membrane provides them with complete protection against soaking and allows at the same time to freely drain excess heat and moisture to the outside.

Gore-Tex®
Gore-Tex® is an advanced membrane that is permanently waterproof, its properties remain unchanged throughout its service life. The secret of Gore-Tex® lies in its revolutionary construction. Made of expanded PTFE, the membrane section contains over 9 billion microscopic pores per square inch. These pores are about 20,000 smaller than a drop of water, but 700 larger than a water vapor molecule. Water cannot therefore penetrate the Gore-Tex® membrane, but as a vapor (gas) it penetrates it easily. Integrated with the ePTFE structure it is an oleophobic, i.e. fat-repellent substance, allowing the penetration of water vapor and at the same time creating a physical barrier preventing the penetration of pollutants such as oils, cosmetics, insect repellants and food ingredients. Size Chart
- Place a sheet of paper on the floor and against a wall
- Make sure you are wearing the same socks that you would normally wear with this type of shoe
- Wearing these socks, stand on the sheet of paper with your foot perpendicular to the wall and your heel against the wall.
- Then use a pen to draw a line just in front of your big toe. Repeat for both feet and take the longer distance to determine your size.
- Using a ruler, measure the distance between the wall and the line you drew to find your size.
